Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 The honourable recorders. 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 roasting in it on the Day of Recompense 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 It will be a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to any other human being, God [alone] will hold command on that Day. 19
