The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 and it is certainly not a jest. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
