The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the revelations of Abraham and Moses. 19
