Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
