Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Certainly the news of the calamity that will overwhelm has come to you! 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated (in the Hell-fire, i.e. the faces of all disbelievers, Jews and Christians, etc.). 2 Toiling, weary, 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring, 5 No food for them save the bitterness of dry thorns, 6 Which doth not nourish nor release from hunger. 7 [And] some faces will on that Day shine with bliss, 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 They will be in a lofty Garden 10 Never hearing idle talk. 11 A gushing fountain shall be there 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 And drinking-cups ready placed, 14 cushions ranged, 15 And rich carpets spread. 16 Do they never reflect on the camels and how they were created, 17 And the heavens, how it was raised high; 18 how the mountains were hoisted, 19 And how the earth was outstretched? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 You are not a dictator over them. 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 God will punish them with the greatest torment. 24 for behold, unto Us will be their return, 25 Then verily, for Us will be their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
