Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Oh, the chargers that run panting, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And is himself witness to it, 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are brought out and poured forth (all mankind is resurrected). 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
