The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in columns outstretched. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
