The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion, 1 And the earth brings forth her burdens, 2 and man will cry out: “What is the matter with her?” 3 That day it will narrate its annals, 4 Because your Lord has commanded it. 5 On that Day people will go forth in varying states so that they be shown their deeds. 6 And whoso doeth good an atom's weight will see it then, 7 and whosoever has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
