HALLOWED is He who has set up in the skies great constellations, and has placed among them a [radiant] lamp and a light-giving moon. 61 It is He who has made the night and the day, one proceeding the other, for whoever wants to take heed or give thanks. 62 The (true) servants of the Merciful are those who walk humbly on the earth who, when the ignorant people behave insolently towards them, say, "Peace to you" 63 And those who spend their nights bowed and standing before their Lord; 64 who pray, "Lord, protect us from the torment of hell; it is a great loss. 65 "Evil indeed is it as an abode, and as a place to rest in"; 66 And they who when they spend, are neither extravagant nor parsimonious, and (keep) between these the just mean. 67 who do not invoke any god but Allah nor kill a soul, which Allah has forbidden, unjustly, nor commit adultery. -He who does this shall be punished for his sin, 68 The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace; 69 save him who repents, and believes, and does righteous work -- those, God will change their evil deeds into good deeds, for God is ever All-forgiving, All-compassionate; 70 And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allah with [accepted] repentance. 71 And they who do not bear witness to what is false, and when they pass by what is vain, they pass by nobly. 72 And those who, when they are reminded of the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, fall not deaf and blind thereat. 73 And they who say: O our Lord! grant us in our wives and our offspring the joy of our eyes, and make us guides to those who guard (against evil). 74 Those will be rewarded with the highest place (in Paradise) because of their patience. Therein they shall be met with greetings and the word of peace and respect. 75 There they shall live for ever; a fine dwelling place, and residence. 76 Say: "My Lord is not concerned on your account if you do not pray to Him. You have surely done with denying; soon will come the inevitable judgement. 77
