Say thou; my Lord! if Thou wilt shew me that wherewith they are threatened. 93 O my Lord, do not put me among the harmdoing people' 94 [Pray thus] for, behold, We are most certainly able to let thee witness [the fulfillment, even in this world, of] whatever We promise them! 95 Repel evil with what is best, We are well aware of the things they say, 96 And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, 97 and I seek refuge with Thee, O my Sustainer, lest they come near unto me!" 98 (They shall persist in their deeds) until when death comes to anyone of them he will say: "My Lord, send me back to the world 99 that I have left behind. I am likely to do good." Nay, it is merely a word that he is uttering. There is a barrier behind all of them (who are dead) until the Day when they will be raised up. 100 So when the trumpet is blown, there shall be no ties of relationship between them on that day, nor shall they ask of each other. 101 If the side of ones good deeds weighs heavier on a scale, he will have everlasting happiness, 102 And the ones whose scales prove light it is they who put their lives into ruin, remaining in hell forever. 103 Their faces will be scorched by flames, and they will grin and scowl within it. 104 Were not My communications recited to you? But you used to reject them. 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people. 106 "Our Lord! Bring us out of this; if ever we return (to evil), then indeed we shall be Zalimun: (polytheists, oppressors, unjust, and wrong-doers, etc.)." 107 He (Allah) will say: "Remain you in it with ignominy! And speak you not to Me!" 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 But ye chose them for a laughing-stock until they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, while ye laughed at them. 110 I have rewarded them this day for they were constant, and they have come to attainment." 111 He (Allah) will say: "What number of years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will say: we tarried a day or part of a day; ask those who keep count. 113 He (Allah) will say: "You stayed not but a little, if you had only known! 114 Do you think We created you for nothing, and that you will not return to Us?" 115 Then high exalted be God, the King, the True! There is no god but He? the Lord of the noble Throne. 116 He, who invokes another deity along with God, a deity of whose divinity he has no proof, will be brought to account by his Lord. Certainly, those who deny the truth shall never prosper. 117 And say thou: my Lord! forgive and have mercy, and Thou art the Best of the merciful ones. 118
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
