Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
