The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Blessed be He who has sent down the Salvation upon His servant, that he may be a warner to all beings; 1 He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: no son has He begotten, nor has He a partner in His dominion: it is He who created all things, and ordered them in due proportions. 2 Yet they choose apart from Him gods who have not created any thing and have themselves been created, who possess no power over their loss or gain, or their death or life or being raised to life again. 3 The unbelievers say: 'This is but a falsehood he has forged? another nation has helped him' So they have come with wrong and falsehood. 4 And they say: fables of the ancients which he hath had written down, so they are dictated unto him, morning and evening. 5 Say [O Muhammad]: "He who knows all the mysteries of the heavens and the earth has bestowed from on high this [Qur'an upon me]! Verily, He is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace!" 6 They also say, 'What ails this Messenger that he eats food, and goes in the markets? Why has an angel not been sent down to him, to be a warner with him? 7 Or, wherefore is not there cast down unto him a treasure or he has a garden whereof he may eat! And the wrong-doers say: ye follow only a man bewitched. 8 Just see what comparisons they bring up for you! They are lost and cannot find the way. 9
