Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
HAS NEWS OF the Overpowering Event reached you? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 be toiling and worn-out; 3 Burning in the scorching fire, 4 and will be made to drink from a fiercely boiling spring. 5 No food for them save the bitterness of dry thorns, 6 which gives no strength and neither stills hunger. 7 Many a face will be in serenity on that day. 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 In the high empyrean, 10 wherein thou wilt hear no empty talk. 11 Therein shall be a spring running! 12 and raised couches, 13 and goblets set forth 14 And cushions ranged 15 And carpets spread out. 16 What, do they not consider how the camel was created, 17 And the heavens, how it was raised high; 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted? 19 And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? 20 And so, [O Prophet,] exhort them; thy task is only to exhort: 21 and are not invested with the authority to compel them. 22 But whosoever will turn back and disbelieve 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 For to Us will be their return; 25 Then verily on Us is their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
