The Statute Book (Al-Furqaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Blessed is He Who hath revealed unto His slave the Criterion (of right and wrong), that he may be a warner to the peoples. 1 He, Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and Who did not take to Himself a son, and Who has no associate in the kingdom, and Who created everything, then ordained for it a measure. 2 And yet, some choose to worship, instead of Him, imaginary deities that cannot create anything but are themselves created, and have it not within their power to avert harm from, or bring benefit to, themselves, and have no power over death, nor over life, nor over resurrection! 3 Those who disbelieve say: "This (the Quran) is nothing but a lie that he (Muhammad SAW) has invented, and others have helped him at it, so that they have produced an unjust wrong (thing) and a lie." 4 And they said, “These are stories of the former people, which he has written down, so they are read to him morning and evening.” 5 Say: He has revealed it Who knows the secret in the heavens and the earth; surely He is ever Forgiving, Merciful. 6 And they say, "What is this messenger that eats food and walks in the markets? Why was there not sent down to him an angel so he would be with him a warner? 7 "Or (why) has not a treasure been granted to him, or why has he not a garden whereof he may eat?" And the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.) say: "You follow none but a man bewitched." 8 See how they coin similitudes for thee, so that they are all astray and cannot find a road! 9
