And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth; that is what you were trying to escape. 19 The trumpet will be sounded. This is the Day [you were] warned of. 20 And there shall come every soul therewith shall be a driver and a witness. 21 (And the driver will say:) "You were oblivious of this, so we have removed the veil, and how keen is your sight today!" 22 And his companion, [the angel], will say, "This [record] is what is with me, prepared." 23 (It will be said): 'Indeed, cast into Gehenna (Hell) every deviating unbeliever, 24 [every] withholder of good [and] sinful aggressor [and] fomentor of distrust [between man and man - everyone] 25 "Who set up another god beside Allah: Throw him into a severe penalty." 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 [Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning. 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
