No, by the moon! 32 by the retreating night, 33 And [by] the morning when it brightens, 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 Except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 Of evil-doers: 41 "What has brought you into hell-fire?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 and belied the Day of Recompense 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 As though they were asses startled. 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
