And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 which the truthful spirit has carried down 193 upon thy heart, [O Muhammad] so that thou mayest be among those who preach 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 If We had sent it down on a barbarian 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 This is how We have made (the habit of) denying embedded in the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 It shall come unto them on a sudden, and they shall not perceive. 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 And never did We destroy a township which did not have Heralds of warning, 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 And lower thy wing (in kindness) unto those believers who follow thee. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 [And] shall I tell you upon whom it is that those evil spirits descend? 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 And they say what they do not do, 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
