The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 Let the human reflect of what he is created. 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are devising guile, 15 and I am devising guile. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
