Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Surely there are guardians over you, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know whatever you do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
