Seest thou not those that dispute concerning the Signs of Allah? How are they turned away (from Reality)?- 69 Those who reject the Book and that with which We have sent Our Apostle; but they shall soon come to know, 70 When shackles will be on their necks and also chains; they will be dragged. 71 In boiling water; then in the Fire they will be filled [with flame]. 72 It will then be said to them: “Where are those whom you 73 associated with Allah in His Divinity?” They will say: “We have lost them; rather, we never used to call upon anyone before.” Thus will Allah cause them to stumble in error. 74 That is because ye had been exulting in the earth without right, and because ye had been strutting. 75 So enter the gates of Hell to abide in it for ever." How evil the abode of the arrogant! 76 (Muhammad), exercise patience. The promise of God is true. Whether We let you witness the suffering with which they were threatened or because of your death (you do not see them suffering,), We shall still punish them when they return to Us (on the Day of Judgment). 77 We did aforetime send messengers before thee: of them there are some whose story We have related to thee, and some whose story We have not related to thee. It was not (possible) for any messenger to bring a sign except by the leave of Allah: but when the Command of Allah issued, the matter was decided in truth and justice, and there perished, there and then those who stood on Falsehoods. 78
