And indeed, warnings came to the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) [through Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)]. 41 They denied all Our signs, We therefore seized them – the seizure of the Most Honourable, the All Powerful. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Or is it that they say: we are a multitude prevailing! 44 Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs. 45 Nay, the Hour (of Judgment) is the time promised them (for their full recompense): And that Hour will be most grievous and most bitter. 46 Indeed the wrongdoers are in error and a raging fire. 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 Lo! We have created every thing by measure. 49 And Our command is only a fleeting one – like the batting of an eyelid. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you; is there any that will remember? 51 Every thing that they have done is in the Scrolls, 52 And everything, small and great, hath been written down. 53 Verily, The Muttaqun (pious), will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers (Paradise). 54 in a secure abode, in the presence of the Powerful King. 55
