Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 "And ease my task for me; 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 That they may understand my speech, 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 Aaron my brother 30 Strengthen by him my back. 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 That we may sing Your praises much, 33 and may remember You much. 34 Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing." 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 when We revealed what was to be made known to your mother, 38 [Saying], 'Cast him into the chest and cast it into the river, and the river will throw it onto the bank; there will take him an enemy to Me and an enemy to him.' And I bestowed upon you love from Me that you would be brought up under My eye. 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 I have chosen thee for My service; 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 “Both of you go to Firaun; he has indeed rebelled.” 43 Then speak to him a gentle word haply he may mind or fear. 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 He (Allah) said: "Fear not, verily! I am with you both, hearing and seeing. 46 So go you both to him and say: Surely we are two apostles of your Lord; therefore send the children of Israel with us and do not torment them! Indeed we have brought to you a communication from your Lord, and peace is on him who follows the guidance; 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 [But when God's message was conveyed unto Pharaoh,] he said: "Who, now, is this Sustainer of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 (The Pharaoh) said: "And what about the former generations?" 51 He said, “Their knowledge is with my Lord, (recorded) in a Book; my Lord neither strays nor forgets.” 52 It is God who has made the earth as a cradle for you with roads for you to travel. He has sent water from the sky to produce various pairs of plants. 53 Eat, and graze your cattle; indeed in this are signs for people of intellect. 54
