Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 and those that bear the burden [of the rain], 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 Then those (angels who) distribute blessings by Our command; 4 surely that you are promised is true, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 By the heaven containing pathways, 7 You are indeed in different opinions regarding this Qur’an. 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 May the conjecturers perish, 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 and would pray for forgiveness from their innermost hearts; 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 In the sky is your provision and that which you are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
