He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me, 25 And make my mission easy. 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 And give to me an aider from my family: 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 And let him share my task 32 That we may sing Your praises much, 33 and remember Thee abundantly. 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 Indeed, We showed Our favour to you before also, 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 "Cast him into the ark, and cast him into the river, and let the river throw him up on the shore. An enemy of Mine and his shall take him." And I loaded on thee love from Me, and to be formed in My sight, 39 Your sister went (to them) and said: 'Shall I guide you to one who will nurse him' And so We restored you to your mother, so that her eyes might rejoice and that she might not sorrow. And when you killed a soul We saved you from grief and then We tried you with many trials. You stayed among the people of Midian for a number of years, and then, Moses, you came here according to a decree. 40 "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)".. 41 "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 Go, then; you two unto him and say, 'Behold, we are apostles sent by thy Sustainer: let, then, the children of Israel go with us, and cause them not to suffer [any longer]. We have now come unto thee with a message from thy Sustainer; and [know that His] peace shall be [only] on those who follow [His] guidance: 47 Verily we! it hath been revealed unto us that the torment will be for him who belieth and turneth away. 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,- 52 Who hath appointed for you the earth as a bed, and hath opened for you therein pathways, and hath sent down from the heaven water, and thereby We have brought forth kinds of plants, various. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle; most surely there are signs in this for those endowed with understanding. 54
