Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 (We answered his prayer, healed his sickness, and told him), "Run on your feet. This is cool water (for you) to wash and drink". 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it – as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 We told him, "Take a handful of straw. Strike your wife with it to fulfill your oath." We found him to be patient. What an excellent servant he was. He was certainly most repenting. 44 And remember Our bondmen Ibrahim, and Ishaq, and Yaqub – the men of power and knowledge. 45 Verily We! We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Abode. 46 And in Our sight, they are indeed the chosen ones, the beloved. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhul-Kifl, and all are among the outstanding. 48 This is a commemoration. Surely for those who take heed for themselves is an excellent place of return -- 49 the Gardens of eternity with gates thrown wide open to them. 50 Wherein, reclining, they call for plenteous fruit and cool drink (that is) therein. 51 ۞ They will have bashful wives of equal age with them. 52 This is what is promised you for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Indeed, this is Our provision; for it there is no depletion. 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the resting place. 56 This (shall be so); so let them taste it, boiling and intensely cold (drink). 57 Taste the scalding water, pus, and other putrid things". 58 Here is a multitude rushing headlong with you. There is no welcome for them. They will roast in the fire. 59 They will say to them, "You are not welcome! It was you who brought this on us, an evil place to stay," 60 They say: Our Lord! Whoever did prepare this for us, oh, give him double portion of the Fire! 61 And they will add: "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we were wont to count among the wicked, 62 Did we take them (wrongly) for a laughing-stock, or have our eyes missed them? 63 Truly that is just and fitting,- the mutual recriminations of the People of the Fire! 64
