"Truly! The Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) will be amidst Gardens and water-springs (Paradise). 45 'Enter you them, in peace and security!' 46 And We will root out whatever of rancor is in their breasts-- (they shall be) as brethren, on raised couches, face to face. 47 Toil cometh not unto them there, nor will they be expelled from thence. 48 ۞ Announce to My creatures that I am indeed forgiving and kind, 49 But My punishment is surely a painful one. 50 And tell them about Abraham's guests. 51 They entered to him and said: 'Peace' but he replied: 'We are afraid of you' 52 They said: be not afraid; verily we bear thou the glad tidings of a boy knowing. 53 He said: bear ye me glad tidings when old age hath touched me? of what then ye bear me glad tidings? 54 They said, "We have given you good tidings in truth, so do not be of the despairing." 55 He said, 'And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, excepting those that are astray?' 56 He added: "What is your errand O sent ones?" 57 They answered: "We are sent to people lost in sin [who are to be destroyed,] 58 Only the family of Lot will all be saved, 59 except his wife who is doomed to be left behind." 60
