Establish thou the prayer from the declination of the sun to the darkening of the night, and the recitation at the dawn; verily the recitation at the dawn is ever borne witness to. 78 And from [part of] the night, pray with it as additional [worship] for you; it is expected that your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station. 79 And pray: "O my Lord, let my entry be with honour, and let my exit be with honour, and grant me power from You which would help (sustain) me." 80 And say: "Truth has come and falsehood nullified." Verily falsehood is perishable. 81 THUS, step by step, We bestow from on high through this Qur'an all that gives health [to the spirit] and is a grace unto those who believe [in Us,] the while it only adds to the ruin of evildoers: 82 Yet when We bestow Our favours on man, he turns away and becomes remote on his side (instead of coming to Us), and when evil seizes him he gives himself up to despair! 83 Say to them, "Everyone acts in his own way, and your Lord knows best who is rightly guided." 84
