And a sign to them is the dead earth: We give life to it and bring forth from it grain so they eat of it. 33 And We placed therein gardens of palm trees and grapevines and caused to burst forth therefrom some springs - 34 So that they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 Glory be to Him, Who has created all the pairs of that which the earth produces, as well as of their own (human) kind (male and female), and of that which they know not. 36 They have a sign in the night: We withdraw from it the [light of] day -- and they are left in darkness. 37 And the sun runs his course for a period determined for him: that is the decree of (Him), the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing. 38 We have ordained phases for the moon until finally it becomes like an old date-stalk. 39 how the sun is not supposed to catch-up with the moon, nor is the night to precede the day. All of them are to float in a certain orbit; 40 And a Sign for them is that We bore their race (through the Flood) in the loaded Ark; 41 And We created for them from the likes of it that which they ride. 42 Had We wanted, We could have drowned them and nothing would have been able to help or rescue them 43 Unless it be a mercy from Us, and as an enjoyment for a while. 44 When they are told, "guard yourselves against what is before you and what is behind you, in order that you may be shown mercy," [they turn away]. 45 And there comes not to them a communication of the communications of their Lord but they turn aside from it. 46 And when it is said to them: Spend out of what Allah has given you, those who disbelieve say to those who believe: Shall we feed him whom, if Allah please, He could feed? You are in naught but clear error. 47 They say, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?" 48 The Truth is that they are waiting for nothing but a mighty Blast to seize them the while they are disputing (in their worldly affairs), 49 So they shall not be able to make a bequest, nor shall they return to their families. 50
