Have you heard the story of the honorable guests of Abraham? 24 When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown. 25 Then he turned quickly to his household, brought out a fatted calf, 26 And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat? 27 Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). 28 Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman! 29 They said: even so saith thine Lord. Verily He! He is the Wise, the Knower. 30 ۞ [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Then for what purpose you have come, O Messengers?" 31 They replied: “Behold, we have been sent to a wicked people 32 to loose upon them stones of clay 33 They are transgressors in the presence of your Lord". 34 Then We evacuated there from all the believers 35 for apart from one [single] house We did not find there any who had surrendered themselves to Us. 36 and We left therein a Sign for those who fear the grievous chastisement. 37 There is another sign in Moses: We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority. 38 But Pharaoh turned away, showing arrogance on account of his power, and said (about Moses): “He is either a sorcerer or a madman.” 39 So We took him and his hosts, and dumped them into the sea, while he was to be blamed. 40 And in (the tribe of) A'ad (there is a portent) when we sent the fatal wind against them. 41 It left not aught whereon it came but it made it as matter decayed. 42 And in Samood: When it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while. 43 But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord, so the Sa'iqah overtook them while they were looking. 44 So they were neither able to stand up, nor were they able to take revenge. 45 (So had We destroyed) the people of Noah before them: They were surely a sinful people. 46
