Say: "Who can guard and protect you in the night or in the day from the (punishment of the) Most Beneficent (Allah)?" Nay, but they turn away from the remembrance of their Lord. 42 Or have they aliha (gods) who can guard them from Us? They have no power to help themselves, nor can they be protected from Us (i.e. from Our Torment). 43 Nay, but We gave these and their fathers ease until life grew long for them. See they not how we aim to the land, reducing it of its outlying parts? Can they then be the victors? 44 (Muhammad), tell them, "I am warning you by revelation alone." The deaf do not hear any call when they are warned. 45 But if just a breath of your Lord's punishment were to touch them, they would say: 'Woe for us, we were harmdoers' 46 We shall fix the scales of justice on the Day of Resurrection, so that none will be wronged in the least; and even if it were equal to a mustard seed in weight We shall take it (into account). We are sufficient for computation. 47 We gave Moses and Aaron the Criterion, and a light and reminder for those who take heed for themselves, 48 who stand in awe of their Sustainer although He is beyond the reach of human perception, and who tremble at the thought of the Last Hour. 49 And this [Qur'an] is a blessed message which We have sent down. Then are you with it unacquainted? 50
