Hizb 38
< random >
The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 106 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 107 so fear Allah and obey me. 108 I ask no payment from you for my preaching. The Lord of the Universe will give me my reward. 109 Hence, remain conscious of God, and pay heed unto me!" 110 ۞ They said: Shall we believe in you while the meanest follow you? 111 He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do? 112 Their reckoning is upon my Lord, if ye but knew. 113 And I am not one to drive away the believers. 114 I am nothing but a plain warner." 115 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Noah, thou shalt assuredly be one of the stoned.' 116 Then Noah said, "Lord, my people have rejected me. 117 hence, lay Thou wide open the truth between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me!" 118 So We delivered him and those with him in the loaded ark, 119 Then We drowned thereafter the remaining ones. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122
