The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 177 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 Weigh your goods with proper balance 182 and do not diminish the goods of the people, and do not make mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 “And fear Him Who created you and the earlier creations.” 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. 186 Therefore cause a portion of the heaven to come down upon us, if you are one of the truthful. 187 He said: 'My Lord knows what you are doing' 188 But they gave him the lie. And thereupon suffering overtook them on a day dark with shadows: and verily, it was the suffering of an awesome day! 189 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 190 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
