The Key (Al-Faatehah)

7 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir) before Thorns (Al-Masad)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful 1

Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, 2 The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 3 Master of the Day of Judgment, 4 Thee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help. 5 (Lord), guide us to the right path, 6 The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray. 7

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
