Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 And when the graves are overturned. 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Not at all but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know what you do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
