Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Have you heard about the Overwhelming Event? 1 Faces on that day humbled, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 The while they enter the Blazing Fire,- 4 given to drink from a boiling spring. 5 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari' 6 Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. 7 (Other) faces, that Day, will be joyful, 8 and pleased with the result of their deeds in the past. 9 in a sublime garden, 10 They shall hear therein no vain discourse; 11 Wherein is a gushing spring, 12 Therein shall be couches elevated! 13 And cups put in place 14 And cushions lined up 15 and carpets outspread. 16 Will they not regard the camels, how they are created? 17 how heaven was lifted up, 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted? 19 And the earth, how it was spread out? 20 Therefore remind, you are only a Reminder. 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 But if any turn away and reject Allah,- 23 will be punished by God with the greatest punishment. 24 for behold, unto Us will be their return, 25 Then it will be for Us to call them to account. 26
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
