Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said, 'Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur'an. 1 Guiding to the right way, so we believe in it, and we will not set up any one with our Lord: 2 And [it teaches] that exalted is the nobleness of our Lord; He has not taken a wife or a son 3 The ignorant fool among us has spoken outrageously against Allah, 4 ‘Whereas we thought that men and jinns would never fabricate a lie against Allah!’ 5 But there were certain men from mankind who would take refuge with certain males from the jinn and they increased them in tyranny. 6 Those people thought, like you, that God would never send down a Messenger. 7 "We went near the heavens but found it to be full of strong guards and shooting flames. 8 we used to take up a position to listen, but whoever listens now finds a flaming fire lying in wait for him -- 9 And so we know not whether evil is intended for those in the earth, or whether their Lord intends for them rectitude. 10 Just as [we do not know how it happens] that some from among us are righteous, while some of us are [far] below that: we have always followed widely divergent paths. 11 'And we think that we cannot escape (from the punishment of) Allah in the earth, nor can we escape (from the punishment) by flight. 12 And when we heard the Message of guidance, we believed therein; and whosoever believeth in his Lord, he shall fear neither diminution nor wrong. 13 and that “among us some are Muslims (Those who have submitted to Allah), and some of us are deviant. So those who became Muslims found the Right Course; 14 but as for those who abandon themselves to wrongdoing - they are indeed but fuel for [the fires of] hell!'" 15 Would they but go straight on the way, We would give them to drink of water copious, 16 and tested them with it. And whosoever turns away from his Lord's Remembrance, He will hurl him into a stern punishment. 17 All the parts of the body to be placed on the ground during prostration belong to God. 18 And when the bondman of Allah stood calling upon Him, they well nigh pressed on him stifling. 19
