And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 The Trusted Spirit hath brought it down. 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like 'Abdullah bin Salam who embraced Islam) of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 And had We revealed it unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 So it will come upon them suddenly, whilst they will be unaware. 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 And never did We destroy a township which did not have Heralds of warning, 208 To advise; and We never oppress. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 And it behoves them not, and they have not the power to do (it). 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. 214 and lower your wing to the believers who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 And as for the poets [they, too, are prone to deceive themselves: and so, only] those who are lost in grievous error would follow them. 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 And that they say what they do not do? - 226 Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown! 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
