We created man out of dry clay, from moulded mud, 26 And the jinn We created before from scorching fire. 27 Your Lord said to the angels, "I am about to bring into being a man wrought from mud. 28 When I have shaped him and ran My created soul in him fall down prostrating towards him'. 29 So, the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. 30 Save Iblis. He refused to be among the prostrate. 31 "How is it, O Iblis," said (the Lord), "you did not join those who bowed in homage?" 32 He said: I am not one to prostrate myself unto a mortal whom Thou hast created out of potter's clay of black mud altered! 33 God said, "Then get out of here; for you are accursed, 34 “And indeed you are accursed till the Day of Judgement.” 35 He said, “My Lord! Grant me respite till the day when they will all be raised.” 36 Allah said: verily then thou art of the respited: 37 "Till the Day of the Time appointed." 38 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! because Thou hast put me in the wrong, I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will put them all in the wrong,- 39 except those of Your servants whom You have singled out for Yourself." 40 Allah said: this is the path leading unto Me straight. 41 "Certainly, you shall have no authority over My slaves, except those who follow you of the Ghawin (Mushrikun and those who go astray, criminals, polytheists, and evil-doers, etc.). 42 For whom the ordained place is surely Hell, 43 There are seven gates in it, and to each gate a portion of them has been allotted. 44
