He it is Who sends down water (rain) from the sky; from it you drink and from it (grows) the vegetation on which you send your cattle to pasture; 10 He causes to grow for you thereby the crops, olives, palm trees, grapevines, and from all the fruits. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who give thought. 11 And He subjected the night and the day for you and the sun and the moon; and the stars are subjected to His command; indeed in this are signs for people of intellect. 12 And [He has subjected] whatever He multiplied for you on the earth of varying colors. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who remember. 13 And He it is Who has subjected the sea that you may eat fresh fish from it and bring forth ornaments from it that you can wear. And you see ships ploughing their course through it so that you may go forth seeking His Bounty and be grateful to Him. 14 And He hath cast on the earth firm mountains lest it move away with you, and rivers and paths that haply ye may be directed. 15 As well as many other signs, as by the stars (you) find direction. 16 Is He, then, who creates like him who does not create? Will you not, then, take heed? 17 And if ye would count the favour of Allah ye cannot reckon it. Lo! Allah is indeed Forgiving, Merciful. 18 And Allah doth know what ye conceal, and what ye reveal. 19 And those whom they worship other than Allah, do not create anything but are themselves created. 20 (They are) dead, lifeless, and they know not when they will be raised up. 21
