The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Merciful 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He created man, 3 and has taught him articulate speech. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 On it are fruits and palm-trees with sheathed clusters [of dates], 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 13 He has created man out of sounding clay, like pottery, 14 And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 He is the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests. 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has set the two oceans in motion, converging together. 19 but has created a barrier between them so that they will not merge totally. 20 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 21 Pearls and corals come from both. 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
