Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 and those that carry the burden [of heavy clouds,] 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, 5 And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. 6 And by oath of the decorated heaven. 7 Certainly, you have different ideas (about Muhammad SAW and the Quran). 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- 10 Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: 11 They ask: When is the day of judgment? 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (i.e. burnt) over the Fire! 13 [and will be told:] "Taste this your trial! It is this that you were so hastily asking for!" 14 Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs (in the Paradise), 15 joyously receiving what their Lord will have granted them. Verily they did good works before (the coming of this Day): 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And used to seek forgiveness before dawn. 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 And on the earth are signs for those who have Faith with certainty, 20 And within yourselves. Can you not perceive? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. 23
