Evidence (of the truth) for them is how We revived the dead earth 33 And there We made gardens of palms and vines, and in it We caused fountains to gush forth, 34 That they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands did not make it; will they not then be grateful? 35 All glory to Him who created pairs of everything that grows from the earth, and out of themselves, and other things they do not know. 36 And a sign unto them is the night. We draw off the day therefrom, and lo! they are darkened. 37 And the sun runneth on unto a resting-place for him. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Wise. 38 And (as for) the moon, We have ordained for it stages till it becomes again as an old dry palm branch. 39 It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming. 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship. 41 And We have created for them of the like thereunto whereon they ride. 42 And if We will, We can drown them, so there would be no help in their distress, nor would they be saved. 43 It is only by Our mercy that they are granted provision for a time. 44 And when it is said to them, 'Fear what is before you and what is behind you; haply you will find mercy' -- 45 Indeed, not one of your Lord's signs comes to them without their turning away from it, 46 And when it is said to them: "Spend of that with which Allah has provided you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe: "Shall we feed those whom, if Allah willed, He (Himself) would have fed? You are only in a plain error." 47 They say: “When will this threat (of Resurrection) come to pass? Tell us if indeed you are truthful.” 48 They await just one scream, which will overcome them while they are involved in worldly disputes. 49 No (chance) will they then have, by will, to dispose (of their affairs), nor to return to their own people! 50
