Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 Every soul shall know what it has sent before and held back. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble scribes, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 and which they shall not [be able to] evade. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
