Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ OH, THE LAYING-BARE of the truth! 1 and what is the Resurrection Verifier? 2 And what will make thee realise what the Sure Reality is? 3 The Thamud and the Ad denied the (possibility of a) sudden calamity, calling it false. 4 So regarding the Thamud, they were destroyed by a terrible scream. 5 And as for 'Aad they were destroyed by a wind, furious, roaring. 6 Which Allah imposed on them for seven nights and eight days in succession, so that you could see men lying overthrown (destroyed), as if they were hollow trunks of date-palms! 7 Do you see any remnants of them? 8 The Pharaoh, those who lived before him and the people of the Subverted Cities all persisted in doing evil. 9 And they disobeyed their Lord's apostle, so He laid hold of them with a grip increasing. 10 And when the waters rose (high) We carried you in the sailing (Ark), 11 So that We may make it a reminder to you, and that the retaining ear might retain it. 12 And when the trumpet shall sound one blast 13 and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and crushed with a single blow, 14 So that is the day when the forthcoming event will occur. 15 when the sky will be rent asunder, the grip holding it together having loosened on that Day, 16 and the angels will stand on the sides, with eight of them bearing aloft the Throne of your Lord on that Day. 17 On that day you shall be exposed, not one secret of yours concealed. 18 Then as for him who will be given his Record in his right hand will say: "Take, read my Record! 19 Verily I was sure that I would be handed over my account.” 20 Then he will be in blissful state 21 In a Garden lofty. 22 The Fruits whereof (will hang in bunches) low and near. 23 "Eat ye and drink ye, with full satisfaction; because of the (good) that ye sent before you, in the days that are gone!" 24 But as for him who will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "I wish that I had not been given my Record! 25 Nor that I knew my reckoning! 26 Would it had been the end! 27 My wealth has been of no use to me. 28 my authority is gone from me.' 29 It will be said, “Seize him, and shackle him.” 30 and then let him enter hell, 31 Then, in a chain whereof the length is seventy Cubits, bind him. 32 for, behold, he did not believe in God, the Tremendous, 33 and he never urged the feeding of the needy; 34 “So he does not have any friend here this day.” 35 "Nor hath he any food except the corruption from the washing of wounds, 36 None shall eat it but the sinners. 37
