Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
