The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 The mountains made to move, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 And when the souls are paired 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 When the ledgers are laid open, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.) 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 by the night swarming, 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 So whither do you stray? 26 This is nothing but a Reminder to the worlds, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Lord of the Universe, so wills it [to show you that way]. 29
