We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
