We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
