Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
