The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who range themselves in ranks, 1 By the angels driving away. 2 and those who recite the Remembrance 3 Verily, most surely, your God is One 4 the Lord of the heavens and the earth and of whatever lies between the two, the Lord of the Easts. 5 We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,- 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the exalted assembly, and they are darted at from every side. 8 rejected, and theirs is an everlasting chastisement, 9 And if any is able to snatch a fragment, he is pursued by a piercing flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 and when they are admonished, they pay no heed; 13 And when they see an Ayah (a sign, a proof, or an evidence) from Allah, they mock at it. 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we (then) verily be resurrected? 16 and perhaps also our forebears of old?" 17 Say, "You will certainly be brought back to life in disgrace". 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 This is the Day of Separation, which ye used to deny. 21
